Under What Circumstances Should An Individual Get A Referral To The Counseling Center? The Counseling Center helps people who have already been through resident rehab programs and have progressed to a point where they may reside on their own but require continued sobriety and mental health support. In order to refer a patient to us, they have to be: 14 years of age or older Done detoxing from drugs and/or alcohol Medically stable Need expert support for maintaining sobriety or addressing mental health illness Committed to participate in mental health sessions with counselors to address drug or alcohol use and co-occurring disorders
Will Referrals Be Kept Private?Yes! Our trained personnel maintain the privacy of all patient communications and documentation. We only talk about their treatment with them, you as their medical provider, and their appointed relatives.
What Should I Anticipate After Making A Referral? When you reach out to The Counseling Center, someone will respond immediately, no matter the time or day of the week. We’ll determine if our support fits the individual’s current needs or if they require some other type of therapy for their present stage of substance use or mental health recovery. If we determine The Counseling Center at West Caldwell is the right option for them, we’ll arrange a psychological assessment and discuss their insurance coverage and payment options. After this is done, we’ll make a recommendation on the best course of action for them and enroll them in one of our customizable outpatient programs.
